Above is a map of our first active worlds presence, the town of Shadow Core on the outskirts of COFmeta. It has grown quite a bit since this show was taken, but the map still shows the older elements as well as the heart of the transit system.
Here is an interior shot of an Active Worlds art gallery featuring the work of Greg Crowfoot. For the visual presentation of art of objects, nothing on the internet can rival the power of an Active Worlds environment.
The Inferno was one of the first meeting and social spots in the Shadow Core town. It features a setting similar of a local tavern, right down to the wall mounted TVs piping in video feeds from MTV and CNN.
The COFmeta Temple of Shadows serves as a jump point to several other worlds we maintain a presence in. Several of the other Temples of Shadow can be seen in the 'Misc' section below.
At the Javacade, people can play a variety of web based java games, many of them quite addictive. It also serves to demonstrate that the web can be tightly integrated into the Active Worlds format.
At the police station you will find links to many online resources that relate to internet crime and protection. In addition, check out the missing children wall. You may be able to save a life.
The Monorail station is at the center of the local rail system. Unlike many other rail lines dotting the COFmeta landscape, ours is fully function and allows mass transit to take place in our area, and that of our neighbors. Try it out, and ride the rails.
When you are ready to move on to a new site, or a site built by others, try our teleport station. Don't worry, ours work better than the ones in the movie The Fly.
