Kunda Mountain

Kunda Mountain is a work of fiction about a woman who after the death of her grandmother imparts on a journey to Kunda Mountain. A place where a council of women have lived and worked for generations. Encouraged by her grandmother from her death bed to visit the mountain, haunted by voices of crying screaming children inside her head Keira arrives on Kunda expecting the peace and quiet to still the rumblings inside her head. Instead she discovers that there are children on Kunda. Children that come from the wood and visit with her in the clearing outside her cabin, children who Keira discovers live in a heavy stone castle surrounded by large protective cats. Reluctant but compelled Keira becomes involved with these children, learns their stories in more than a superficial way. Meanwhile she forms relationships with the many women of Kunda gaining strength and wisdom as she identifies the children from the castle and attempts to save them and herself from the haunting voices that led her to Kunda in the first place.
